  • 4 × 200 g
    sirloin steaks
  • 2
    red onions
  • 4
    beef tomatoes
  • 250 g
    cherry tomatoes
  • 2 cloves
    garlic
  • 1
    red chilli
  • 2 tbsp
    olive oil
  • 100 ml
    water
  • 2 pinches
    sugar
  • 2 pinches
    salt

1
Remove the steaks from the fridge at least two hours before cooking. Season with salt and leave until they reach room temperature.

2
Peel and finely chop the onions. Wash the beef tomatoes, removing the stalk and seeds and dice into approximately 0.5 cm cubes.

3
Wash and cut the cherry tomatoes in half. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Wash the chilli and cut in half, removing the seeds and the white membrane with a knife; finely chop.

4
Heat the olive oil in a pan and cook the onions, chilli and garlic for 1 minute over a high heat. Add the sugar and cook for another 2 minutes over a medium heat.

5
Add half of the beef tomatoes and all the cherry tomatoes, as well as 2 pinches of salt and 1 pinch of BBQ Allrounder. Add the water and simmer over a low heat for 30 minutes.

6
In the last five minutes, add the remaining chopped beef tomatoes. Once the sauce has finished cooking, place in the fridge to cool.

7
Heat one side of the barbecue to a high temperature, creating both a direct and indirect heat source.

8
Place the steaks on the hot side of the grill and cook for 90 seconds on each side. Move to the indirect heat, close the lid and rest for 4 minutes, turning at the midway point.

9
Just before serving, place the steak back on the hot grill for 10 seconds on each side, season with the remaining BBQ Allrounder and serve with the chutney.
