Heat plenty of salted water in a saucepan and cook the pasta al dente according to the packet instructions, drain, reserving 150 ml of the cooking water.

Peel and finely chop the garlic. Heat the olive oil in a pan and sauté the garlic for 2 minutes over a medium heat. Deglaze with the cream and pasta water and bring to the boil.

Wash the lemon and finely grate the zest. Then halve the lemon and add the juice of one half to the cream. Add the lemon zest to the cream and stir well. Wash the basil, pat dry and pluck off the leaves. Slice thinly.

Add the cooked pasta to the pan and toss well. Cook for 2 minutes and fold in the basil just before the end of the cooking time.

Season with the Carbonara Seasoning and 2 pinches each of salt and pepper.


Tip: Top with some freshly grated Parmesan.

Lemon cream spaghetti
